After giving it some thought about how to begin my blog posts the first clear word that came to mind was gratitude. I’ve often promoted the power of gratitude with my clients when helping them focus on goal attainment and this appears to be that time to practice what I’ve preached. From the physical network of wires that connect me to the designers of this blog, nearly half a world away, to the ambitious and courageous goal-strivers who continue to stimulate me daily to do what I do…I am eternally grateful.

I have truly been blessed to be in a field of work I love that allows me to dream daily of new heights and pinnacles of personal success. All this, at times, without any care of what lies on the path ahead. Doing for the sake of doing, I’ve often felt, is the wise man’s credo. Despite it’s difficulty the control of one’s mind is of utmost necessity, especially when we get caught up in what we have not yet achieved. Sometimes the easiest way to take the reins is to sit down, slow down and just be thankful.

I urge you to take a moment now and think of what you can be grateful for. As often given in an instruction to clients in their Success Journal activity, “Make it personal, meaningful and different”
